This past weekend, the MCHS Beta Club went on their annual convention trip. We are very pleased to have brought home several awards. These students put in a lot of hard word and dedication over the past few months.
2nd Place Quiz Bowl - Harrison Scott, Christopher Scott, Jeremy Hollowell, Terra Easterlin
Quiz bowl team started off by taking a written test. They placed in the top 8 of this test and moved to the oral rounds. In the oral rounds they made it through 3 wins and lost in the final round. We are VERY proud of this team.
3rd Place Service Learning Showcase - Ashlyn Kinard, Emma Wicker, Sarah Bryant, Emily Davis, Erica Davis, Josie Blanchard
Service Learning Showcase students created a board of our service over the last year.
1st Place Speech Division 1 - Tyler Shackelford
1st Place Speech Division 2 - Emma Grace Connelly
For this speech, students must dress professionally and present a speech that they have written and memorized.
2nd Place 3D Design - Kendellin Haltiwanger, Ella Morales, Elijah Covington
Students create a piece of artwork that is representative of the theme “As Far As You Can See."

2nd Place Drawing Division 2 - Terra Easterlin
Students submit a drawing that they have done.
1st Place Painting Division 2 - Bailey Gause
Students submit a painting that they have done.
1st Place in Recycled Art, Division I- Ashlyn Kinard
Gold Key Award - More than a 10% increase in convention attendance
