Subject: October 6 Meet
On October 6, MC Cross Country traveled to Oasis Farm to compete in Greenwood’s Tri-County Championship Races. MC competed against Aiken, Broome, Chapman, Clinton, Dixie, Emerald, Greenwood, Greenwood Christian Academy, Ninety-Six, Calhoun Falls, McCormick, Cambridge Academy, and Palmetto Christian Academy. In hot and humid conditions, Cameron Wicker (20:20) dominated the girls race, clenching first place by 12 seconds. Claire Hawkins finished 10th (23:07). The girls did a great job against strong competition finishing in third place with 86 points. Greenwood High finished 1st with 72 points followed by Aiken High with 73. Jon Lawson Cope finishes 3rd overall in the boys race with a personal record of 17:31. Adam Meetze (20:41) and Conner Amick (25:02) also set PRs. The Rebels travel to Clinton on Tuesday, October 13.
