The 2022-2023 South Carolina Music Educator’s Association All State Chorus auditions are well underway and this year representing Mid-Carolina High School are Freshman Emily Bates, Sophomore Hannah Quattlebaum, Junior Camryn Burley, and Senior Carsyn Hydrick. Wednesday, November 9, 2022, these students traveled to Cayce, South Carolina to audition for a seat in the All State Chorus against hundreds of other students from around the state. This audition process required individual preparation of Pergolesi’s “Alleluia” for their vocal part as well as sight reading an excerpt after given 60 seconds to preview it prior to performing for adjudication. We are extremely proud of these students and their accomplishments in this process.
